Birthday Party
Leslie’s Reese’s 1st Birthday was Sunday (5/13) and Teri Lynn’s Cort’s (11) was yesterday (5/14) so it was party time again. The party was to be at our home and Leslie arrived really early and started starting to set up for the birthday party tonight. They were having a “Cafe Rio” menu, so there was all kinds of things that need to be made. Leslie brought all the stuff,but Judy Lynn and I started to help her make things. There was a salsa that has tomatoes, onion,cilantro, and a bunch of other stuff I don’t know. There was also black beans that needed to be washed and heated. Well, you get the idea!
The crowd started arriving at 4:00and we started to eat about about 4:30. Heather had me heat up my grill to warm up the flour tortillas and that was a good idea. I could warm up six at a time and it would have taken forever to warm them one at a time on the stove in a frying pan.

The food was delicious and company was GREAT. John and Kathy (Ricker) came along with some friends of Teri Lynn’s and Randy. We had folks wandering in most of the evening.Folks started to clear out at around 8:30,but then the Rickers got the wild idea of cutting hair and for the next couple of hours we say curly-haired little boys turn into bale eagles.

Sawyer, Finn, Jay & Oscar (I think that’s who they are
)
A couple more… just for fun
(Strange, little Reese fits right in with her brothers!)
Gwen wanted her hair cut too… but for some reason Heather would NOT oblige
.
She was so sad and did not understand! Heather tried to explain that “girls” did not cut their hair like that,
but that explanation did not help one little bit.
Gwen, Sawyer (Finn pushing car) & ReeseThey did not get finished, packed and gone until after 10:30, pretty late for the little kids… but what a FUN Evening!
